Call-In Teller 1 (or 2 with required experience) - Luzerne County

Summary:
A Call-In Teller has the convenience of a flexible schedule without standard hours. This position will work in various branch offices within a mutually agreed upon geographical area. A Teller is usually the first point of contact for Bank patrons; therefore they must create and deliver a positive customer experience while providing a variety of services involving the receipt and payment of all monies. This position requires an individual with a positive attitude, who is a team player, and is able to actively listen for customer financial needs and refer them to the appropriate bank product or bank representative.
Ideal candidate with prior cash handling or customer service skills is preferred but not required.
Education and training:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Skills:
Good communication skills
Accuracy
Basic math skills and use of a calculator
Responsibilities:
Provide prompt, comprehensive and effective customer service
Deliver accurate processing of basic bank transactions while following proper procedures to minimize errors and reduce fraud
Assist customers with general account maintenance inquiries
Promote bank products and services, follow up on opportunities to expand customer relationships, and refer customers to appropriate contacts (e.g. Sales Representatives, Financial Service Representatives, Lenders, etc.)
Prepare individual daily settlements of teller cash and proof operations; report any discrepancies to appropriate supervisor
Maintain proficient knowledge of, and demonstrate ongoing compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to this position, ensure ongoing adherence to pertinent policies, procedures, and internal controls, and meet all job-specific requirements in a timely fashion
Perform other related duties as assigned or directed
Other information:
As an integral member of the Banking Department, this position is also responsible to provide assistance wherever necessary to help various branches and the Bank in achieving their annual goals.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
