We are located in Pittston, PA, just minutes from Interstate 81 and the Pennsylvania Turnpike.
What is the role? The Director of Membership is a full-time member of our management team and is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating WVIA's membership growth, retention, and engagement strategies that align with WVIA's strategic objectives.
What are the role responsibilities? Develop and implement WVIA's annual fundraising plan, including revenue and expense projections and adherence to annual budget Act as WVIA's primary liaison with partners and vendors in CDP's Member Services Bureau including:
basic and midlevel direct mail, telemarketing, e-marketing programs and operational activities Supervise a team of (2) full-time employees Design and implement television, radio, and digital fundraising campaigns Collaborate with audience development on digital growth strategy and innovative fundraising revenue streams Organize all membership engagement programs, special events and Member Days Identify opportunities and develop outside partnerships to enhance member benefits and services Represent WVIA as on-air talent and provide on-air talent training for staff and community guests Implement WVIA's vehicle donation program and matching gifts program Participate in regular strategy and update meetings Provide regular reports to WVIA Leadership and Staff Other duties as assigned by supervisor What are the job requirements?To be considered for this role, applicants must have the following:
Bachelor's Degree required 5 years relevant work experience in membership, fundraising or similar role 2 years previous management experience A valid driver's license Who succeeds in this role? Our ideal candidate possesses the following characteristics:
Demonstrates knowledge of computers and software applications such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Cloud Applications.
Experience with fundraising CRM database program(s).
Strong customer service, fundraising, and relationship-building skills Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills Strong analytical and decision making skills Excellent organizational skills Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work Excellent attention to detail and problem solving skills Maintain confidentiality of sensitive and proprietary information Must be able to interact and collaborate with other departments to complete tasks and reach deadlines Ability to work some nights and weekends due to membership events Candidates must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and criminal background check.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
